New movement studies, not recovered animation or a scientific simulation.
The path, held still.
Select a pose to inspect it. These are samples from the developmental rule, not separate drawings.
Compare the studies at the same moment
Uses the shared time control above. The first three share endpoints. Gather adds a limb; Shed changes proportions and leaves an empty skin behind; Branch grows a connected crown.
Next: life and depth
Open the three-material depth comparison →
Start with one creature and compare thin cut paper, shallow carved relief, and soft volume. Keep the same silhouette, pose, camera, and light. Small turns should reveal depth while the front view remains recognizably Will’s drawing.
Then give it rest, attention, preparation, and recovery. Head movement leads; the body follows; the tail settles last. Develop Unfurl first, with quiet intervals instead of constant idle motion. Voice comes after the silent performance works.
This is a plan, not an implemented 3D mode. The current studies remain editable vectors.
Sources & what remains unresolved
Unfold studies articulated release, informed by Lotte Reiniger’s silhouette practice. Bud uses a traveling growth front, informed by Algorithmic Botany. Unfurl interprets unequal expansion, informed by Floraform.
These are authored geometric hypotheses. Unfurl is not a differential-growth solver; Bud does not model cells. The final foot and head remain interpretations of Will’s drawing. The next useful input is a sketch of the moment each study should turn, resist, or release.
